The Scottish Passenger Agents’ Association (SPAA) has revealed that Jet2 chief executive Steve Heapy will give an address at the body’s 94th annual dinner.
The event, taking place on February 22, at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow, will be hosted by SPAA president Jacqueline Dobson.
An address will also be given by Scottish Chambers of Commerce chief executive Dr Liz Cameron.
Looking forward to her first annual dinner as president, Dobson said the SPAA was “honoured” to have secured Heapy and Cameron as speakers.
“In the ever-evolving landscape of the travel industry, their insights and expertise will undoubtedly provide valuable perspectives on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead,” she added.
In line with event tradition, Dobson will give the Address to the Haggis during the dinner. The finale will include a performance from the Inverary & District Pipe Band, a two-time winner of the World Pipe Band Championships.
The headline sponsors will be Qatar Airways and Loganair.
The SPAA, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2021, is the world’s oldest organisation representing travel agents.
It has 120 member companies, including associated agencies and homeworkers across Scotland, as well as 92 associate members in the travel and transport industry.
