Not in the Guidebooks chief executive and founder Carol Savage (pictured) said: “Gaining this recognition is a clear demonstration of our long-term commitment and application towards sustainability goals in the travel industry, and proof that the business is compliant with more than 100 criteria related to its office management, product range, international business partners and customer information.

“It’s also a great reflection of the dedication of the team here at Not in the Guidebooks and their hard work since we launched three years ago.

“At Not in the Guidebooks, we don’t simply talk about sustainability issues, we implement real strategies and tactics aimed at improving our own internal sustainability performance, inspiring our hosts and suppliers to take on sustainable practices, all whilst educating our clients and customers in the best ways to travel responsibly.

“And we don’t intend to rest on our laurels. There is still so much more we can do as a business and Travelife Partner Status indicates a willingness to continue to look at ways we can further improve on our sustainability performance.”
