Newmarket Holidays expands range of safari tours

Escorted tours specialist Newmarket Holidays has expanded its range of African safaris with its first tour in Tanzania, its first dedicated tour in Botswana, and two new luxury South African itineraries.

Richard Forde, head of trade sales and partnerships, said: “We’re thrilled to expand our award-winning African Safari Collection with some great value, exclusive tours that give travel agents new options for their customers.

“Safaris have been incredibly popular over the past 12 months, so we’re sure these new options will prove a big hit with the trade.”

Great Safaris of Tanzania & Zanzibar Beach is a 12-day small-group tour featuring safari experiences in Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara, followed by a beach break on Zanzibar’s east coast. Departures start in April 2025.

On Safari in Botswana – Chobe National Park is Newmarket Holidays’ first dedicated tour in the country.

The 10-day small-group itinerary is unique to Newmarket and features morning and afternoon game drives, a double-decker boat cruise along the Chobe River, and optional activities such as guided fishing, a photography boat cruise, a visit to a Namibian village, and a trip to Kazungula Bridge – where the corners of Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Botswana come together. Departures start in November.

On Safari in South Africa – Luxury Safari Plains is a 10-day safari adventure based in the Mabula Game Reserve in the malaria-free Waterberg Biosphere, home to the ‘Big Five’. Departures start in April 2025.

On Safari in South Africa – Luxury Safari Plains with Mauritius is a 15-day holiday that includes five nights at the five-star Safari Plains camp, followed by seven nights at the five-star Long Beach resort in Mauritius. Departures start in March 2025.
