Jet2 starts ramping up summer flights from Bristol

Jet2 and Jet2holidays have started building up their summer programme from Bristol airport with new flights to Izmir in Turkey.

Weekly Tuesday departures will run until November 1, with Bodrum added from May 5, offering two services a week operating between May 30 and October 31.

The companies will also be serving the Turkish resorts of Antalya and Dalaman as part of an expanded summer schedule from the west country airport covering 33 destinations.

Inaugural flights to Girona for the Costa Brava, Larnaca, Costa de Almeria, Reus, Halkidiki, Malta and Verona will also start this month and in early June. A route to Alicante started on April 1.

Chief executive Steve Heapy said: “It is fantastic to be operating to this popular sunshine destination from Bristol airport, as we know that this new route will prove popular with customers and independent travel agents in the region.

“As well as taking off to Izmir for the first time from Bristol airport today, we are pleased to be offering a further nine new routes from the base for summer ‘22, on top of an unrivalled programme to other popular sunshine favourites.

“With 33 sun and city destinations on sale this summer from the Bristol airport, we are giving customers and independent travel agents huge choice when it comes to enjoying a holiday with our award-winning airline and tour operator.”
