and Jet2holidays add capacity to Crete and Jet2holidays have added more flights and holidays to Crete this summer, with extra services to Heraklion and Chania during the peak season.

The airline has added over 7,500 seats to the Greek island, with more flights to Heraklion from Leeds Bradford and Birmingham, plus extra Chania departures from Manchester and Stansted.

The Leeds Bradford-Heraklion route sees the addition of a second Monday service between July 25 and September 26, which means there will be up to six weekly departures.

Birmingham-Heraklion services have seen the addition of a second Tuesday service between  July 26 and September 27, which means there will be up to seven weekly departures.

In Manchester, an additional departure to Chania will operate on Thursdays between July 14 and September 1, while an extra Stansted-Chania service will depart on Mondays between July 18 and September 19.

This expanded programme means that and Jet2holidays will operate more 50 weekly services to Crete from across 10 UK bases during peak periods, more than any other airline.

It also makes the UK’s largest airline to Heraklion in terms of frequency this summer.

The brands also have an expanded accommodation portfolio, with almost 200 hotels on sale in Crete this summer, a significant increase on the summer 2019 programme.

A team of about 50 will be working for Jet2 in airports and resorts in Crete during the summer.
