Hurling fever building up at Shannon Airport

Shannon Airport is well and truly ‘up for the match’ as friendly rivalries kick up a notch ahead of this weekend’s Munster Hurling Final clash between Clare and Limerick.

The competition is soaring to new heights at the airport as passengers and staff gear up for the hotly anticipated provincial decider.

While staff are busy welcoming passengers jetting off to destinations across Europe, the UK and US as the peak summer season gets into full swing, all eyes will be on Thurles this Sunday as Munster’s greatest rivals go head-to-head for the third successive year.

Airport director, Niall Kearns, said: The atmosphere is electric at Shannon Airport this week, with passengers and staff gearing up for the match.

“The friendly rivalry between our team members and customers from Limerick and Clare creates a real buzz, which always makes for an exciting match-day build up.”

The Munster Hurling Final takes place in Semple Stadium, Thurles, on Sunday 9th June with a throw-in time of 4pm.
