Sail the seven seas on board Ponant’s sustainable small ships

Nothing beats stepping on board a Ponant ship for the first time and being greeted with opulence at its finest. From 16-stateroom luxury yacht Le Ponant to its selection of cosy explorer vessels, Ponant has 13 ships and counting, with its 14th due to launch very soon.

Whether clients are seeking an expedition cruise to Antarctica, a voyage around the Indian Ocean and its idyllic islands, or a relaxing sailing on the Great Lakes of North America, Ponant’s luxury ships sail to all seven continents.

Setting sail

Ponant’s French heritage brings a touch of elegance to every sailing. Its small, sleek ships carry a maximum of 250 guests and can dock in private ports, taking guests right to the shores of lesser-visited locations.

Plus, with at least 60 itineraries with no single supplement, solo travellers have the chance to meet like-minded travellers. Passengers can expect spacious staterooms, a relaxing pool area, plus a spa and a theatre on select ships – among other homely common areas – giving guests as much privacy as they require.

And when it comes to cuisine, French dishes are created using high-quality ingredients. On Le Commandant Charcot, for example, guests can dine at Le Nuna, the first-ever ocean-going restaurant by chef Alain Ducasse, while Le Diamant on Le Ponant serves destination-inspired courses.

Secret shores

From remote coves to hidden beaches, Ponant takes passengers to some real hidden gems. Its ship m/s Paul Gauguin offers immersive itineraries to French Polynesia, including Tahiti and the Cook Islands, sailing to sparkling lagoons and deserted islands.

Cruises feature a wide range of excursions themed on cultural, historical and culinary experiences, from whale watching in Canada to exploring Greece’s ancient ruins or soaking in Iceland’s thermal baths. From winter 2024-25, one excursion will be included per person at each port on select yacht cruises.

For those with special interests, Ponant offers themed cruises with experts, based around classical music, photography, gastronomy and more, allowing passengers to enjoy their passions at sea.

Responsible cruising

Ponant has always been committed to responsible tourism, making it ideal for climate-conscious clients. Its Blue Horizon programme aims to reduce emissions, eliminate single-use plastics and recycle waste, while the Ponant Foundation strives to preserve the oceans and poles through scientific research.
