EasyJet teams up with former Eurovision contestants to release original song

EasyJet has teamed up with British band and former Eurovision contestants Scooch to release an original song.

Named All Aboard the Orange Plane, the song was written by comedian and songwriter Vikki Stone and performed by the original Scooch band members, who submitted an aviation-themed entry to the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki.

EasyJet, which is the official airline partner of the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, has released the song on all major streaming platforms ahead of the competition final on Saturday (May 11).

The airline will donate the value of its estimated royalties to its charity partner Unicef.

Director of cabin services at easyJet Michael Brown said: “We couldn’t be prouder to be the official airline partner for the Eurovision Song Contest and, like the show, play our part in bringing people, countries and communities together.

“It’s been fantastic to celebrate this year’s competition with our customers and crew to see this incredible response to our official Eurovision song.

“By releasing this new single today, not only will more people be able to enjoy celebrating with us, but every time they do they’ll be helping raise vital funds for Unicef’s education programmes and help every child access their right to a quality education, and we’d like to thank everyone who listens for their support.”
