Buoyant luxury market targeted by Mauritius Marriott hotels with new hire
Sarah McGlynn has been named as UK-based sales and marketing director for three Marriott Mauritius hotels.
She previously worked as head of sales for Lux Resorts and hotels for almost six years.
McGlynn’s new role covers the JW Marriott Mauritius Resort, Le Meridien Ile Maurice and Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa in the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and US.
She will oversee all sales and marketing activities, including finding new ways to drive sales growth and increased visibility for the Mauritius hotels across the four markets.
Sydney Pierre, chief sales and marketing officer for the three hotels, said: “Sarah will be instrumental in driving sales from the UK and Ireland, Scandinavia and the USA to our three world-class resorts.
“She has the right experience and contacts to ensure that we will be firmly on the radar of our trade partners and the luxury consumer themselves.”
McGlynn, who has more than 19 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, added: “The luxury travel market is particularly buoyant with consumers keen to book their long-haul holiday and our three properties are all totally unique, set in the most breath-taking locations.
“I know there is huge potential to grow bookings from my key markets of UK and Ireland, Scandinavia and the USA.”
