American Airlines announces eight routes – including Miami to Tel Aviv

American Airlines is to begin eight routes, with most without direct competition.  Its new Miami to Tel Aviv service, in direct competition with El Al, will be its third new route to the Israel airport this year.

American Airlines has revealed eight new routes, all starting in June or July, from its Charlotte, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Miami hubs.

With a combined 15 weekly flights, they’re not high frequency, mainly as most are Saturday-only.

At five-weekly, Miami to Paramaribo will have the most flights. American will compete directly with Surinam Airways’ one-stop services.  The South American carrier’s non-stop service...
