AmaWaterways opens sales early for 2026 river cruises

River cruise line AmaWaterways has put all its 2026 cruises on sale early because it is seeing “strong demand” for its 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Reservations are now open for sailings in Europe, Egypt, Asia, Colombia, Africa safaris and wildlife cruises, as well as pre- and post-cruise land packages.

The company is launching seven new ships – in Portugal, Egypt, Colombia and Europe – during 2024 and 2025, then two more in 2026.

AmaSofia will sail the Danube River from May 24, 2026, on the 14-night Magnificent Europe itinerary, between Amsterdam and Budapest.

Meanwhile, AmaMaya will join AmaDara on the Mekong (pictured), cruising the seven-night Charms of the Mekong and Riches of the Mekong itineraries.

These can be combined with pre- and post-cruise land packages featuring Angkor Wat near Siem Reap in Cambodia; Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Ha Long Bay in Vietnam; and Bangkok, Thailand.

Elsewhere, two new land packages are being added as part of the AmaWaterways’ seven-night Taste of Bordeaux sailings in 2026, featuring Madrid and San Sebastián, plus Paris.

New excursions are available on Rhine and Moselle sailings in 2026. Utrecht has been added to the Captivating Rhine, Enchanting Rhine, and Christmas Markets on the Rhine itineraries.

The stop in Strasbourg during Christmas season sailings has added two more excursion choices – a walking tour of the famous spa resort town of Baden-Baden or a visit to France’s oldest Christmas market in Strasbourg, started in 1570.

On AmaWaterways’ seven-night Vineyard of the Rhine & Moselle guests will be able to explore Wiesbaden.

Prices for the 2026 programme start at £2,311 per person for the seven-night Captivating Rhine cruise from Amsterdam to Basel, departing on February 5, 2026, including flights and transfers.
